Thanksgiving Pints of Persimmon


Local customers ~ Henry's Persimmon "Pumpkin Pie" is the perfect addition to Thanksgiving dinner. Its orange color is beautiful on the holiday table while the touch of cinnamon complements all the flavors of the season.

Pre-order by Sunday, November 14th for pick up at the Ojai Farmer's Market on Sunday, November 21st.

Cost for pint size is $14.

IV Fall Fest - This Saturday

Henry's Frozen Delight will be in Isla Vista this Sat, October 16th at 3pm for the IV Fall Fest. Go to their facebook event page for more info and to rsvp.

See Ojai native Ted Lennon on the stage, link me up at the ice cream cart for a free sample and check out the latest LiViTY gear. Part of the proceeds will benefit TransitionUS and Water Wells for Africa. Best of all, admission is free.

More VegNews coverage


VegNews has really hooked Henry's Frozen Delight up with the press coverage! First, we were tagged as staff pick on their This Just In blog and then given a feature in the new products section of their May/June 2010 issue. Now, we've been reviewed in their 10th anniversary issue "raw ice cream taste test" (pg. 97). You can also vote Henry's as "best vegan ice cream" in their 2010 Veggie Awards along with tons of other raw vegan choices in every category you can imagine.

The New Old Fashioned Ice Cream

A few weeks ago, I caught up with my husband and son at the Ojai Farmers Market and they each had in hand a half pint container of something. They said it was ice cream and offered me a taste. I had one little quarter spoon of one of the flavors because I try to stay away from dairy. It tasted better and creamier than any ice cream I had ever tasted and I cautioned my son not to eat too much. Later on I read the label and realized that Henry’s Frozen Delight is the discovery of the decade: raw, vegan, 100% organic, handmade, seasonal ingredients, delicious, amazingly creamy and deliciously nurturing. And I ordered a half pint of my own.
